ザ・ビーチ・ボーイズ (The Beach Boys) は、1961年に結成されたアメリカのロックンロールバンドである。
米国西海岸の若者文化、特に青い海、ビキニの娘、サーフィン、自動車などをテーマにした軽快な楽曲で知られている。
しかし同時に、複雑精緻で非常にユニークな『ペット・サウンズ』のような作品も作り上げており、プロのミュージシャンや音楽関係者を含む一部に熱狂的なファンを持っている｡
日本でも山下達郎などビーチ・ボーイズを敬愛するミュージシャンは多い｡
ルーツは黒人音楽であるR&BあるいはR&Rにあり、チャック・ベリーの『スウィート・リトル・シックスティーン』をアレンジ（歌詞の他、編曲の部分の変更を含む）して『サーフィン・U.S.A.』を作った（ロイアリティの問題もあった）ことが典型的な事実と言える。
サーフィン・U.S.A.のメロディーは、前記スウィート・リトル・シックスティーンとほぼ同じであり、そのことはザ・ビーチ・ボーイズ側も認めている。
ウエストコースト・ロックの元祖に位置付ける見方もあり、アメリカン・ロックでは多くのバンドがそのハーモニーの影響を受けている。
明確な解散宣言はしておらず、オリジナルメンバーを含む数名がバンド名を引き継いでライブを中心に活動を続けている。
ただし、2004年時点で結成当時のオリジナルメンバー5名のうち2名は故人となっており、最盛期に多くのヒット曲を書いていた中心人物であるブライアン・ウィルソンはソロとして活動をおこなっている。
